Is there any way to get rid of hair permenately without laser treatment?

I want to get rid of unwanted hair..not shaving,not waxing, no laser hair removal...Is there a medication...I know they have Vaniqua but that is for facial hair alone Can you use the medication on other parts of your body to rid it of unwanted hair or is it ONLY effective on the face? If that's so, is there a medication for unwanted body hair then??? Just wondering....any other ideas would be helpful too...thanx
